Default How has the UIGEA affected October affiliate revenue?

There has been a lot of turmoil in the industry during the month of October with a significant number of online gaming sites withdrawing from the US market in the wake of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act. I thought it would be interesting to find out how the changes have impacted overall revenue earned by affiliates in the month of October 2006 as compared with the month of September 2006. My perception is that many affiliates have been hurt significantly by the turmoil, but I don't think any of us really has a good understanding of how affected we are as compared with others.

This will be the first in a series of polls we plan to conduct on a regular basis.

October comissions were almost the same as in September. I'm satisfied with them!

October was a fantastic month... But I am just starting to see rewards from my casino related site. I had a record month - about 4X my previous record month. That said, signups at the sports sites I still promote (which still accept US customers) brought in many fewer depositing players in October.

October was great - it's November I fear.

I have a bad feeling about November as well. I think it's the next few months that will really prove to be the worst.

OK, so I think I will also do another similar pole in December for the month of November as compared with September, and then we will be able to see how both October and November compare with September earnings.

Sounds good Michael. It will be interesting to track, albeit fairly roughly, what impact this has had on the gambling scene in general.

    Great poll - thanks.

I've had a slight dip, but nothing disastrous. Some of my affiliate accounts are hurting while others are thriving. Seems to depend on how the program handled the transition. Some of the sites broadcasted a complete disregard for their players.

50% increase in revenues for October compared to September. But November is starting really bad. I currently see some impact on the earnings due to the industry's reorganization.

As promised before, I have now put up a poll like this one, but comparing November with September results (rather than October with September results).

See the new poll for November at the following URL: www.gpwa.org/forum/showthread.php?t=168738.

Damn October was the best month I had since starting 8 months ago. Wish Congress would stir **** up more often. No November, well I'm just going to have to put my tail between my legs and walk away on that one.
