Question How many days have you been away from home for business trips in the past year?

There are a number of gaming industry trade shows taking place over the next month. Most notable for iGaming affiliates is the upcoming Berlin Affiliate Conference (BAC). But the Excellence in iGaming (Eig) conference takes place right before BAC, and the Global Gaming Expo is taking place at the moment. Industry trade shows are one reason many folks in the affiliate industry choose to travel for business, but not the only one. Some folks travel to meet with folks that work with them, or to meet with business partners. How about you?

Besides voting in the poll about how much time you spend away from home a year on business, be sure to share the reasons you travel, how much pleasure you mix with your business travels, whether you travel now more or less frequently than you have historically, and your thoughts about whether or not and how valuable you find business travel.

I am very curious about this. Over the 7 years that I have been doing this, I have never gone to one of these trade shows (slightly Enochlophobic) but have always wondered if the affiliates and affiliate managers who are in attendance make enough contacts to justify their time and cost of travel. If you have gone to any of these affiliate conferences, such as LAC, what did you gain from it and was it worth your effort?

Thanks for helping me gain insight.

I chose more than one, up to two months.

Our flights are 24+ hours each way to conferences so we are usually out of the office for an entire week per conference.
London is the one where we are out longer because we usually go a week early to do other business before hand. So it's probably just over a month for me. I used to tag personal trips on the start of conferences just so I'd make the travel time worthwhile but I got kinda over being away from my bed.
