How many online conferences or networking events do you expect to attend in 2020?

As we all know, just about every gaming industry conference held since the beginning of the year has either been cancelled, postponed, or moved online for the time being.

For example, this week the SBC Summit Barcelona - Digital is being held. And, if you didn't see the announcement yet, be sure to check out the affiliate round table we are holding there this Thursday (September 9th) as announced in this thread: Join the GPWA and APCW at the SBC Affiliate Networking Roundtable Session.

For this weeks' poll I ask if you have attended, or plan to attend any digital conferences or networking events this year. Besides voting in the poll, be sure to share your opinions about online conferences and networking events. If you've been to any, what did you think? What are the pluses and minuses versus physical events from your perspective?

Speaking for myself, I have already attended four of them this year, and expect to attend several more before the year is over. They are certainly not the same as meeting in person, but they do have the advantage that there are not any travel costs or associated travel time, and (for better or for worse) it is easy to pop in and out or do regular work when that seems more important.

I've attended most of the online events.

They have got better and I love SBC is using Zoom. It's much more interactive so you can truly engage with the speakers.

Other than LAC this past February we will not be attending any other conferences this year. First half of 2021 is not looking too promising either.

I seen that Neil Patel was speaking at one of the IGB webinars recently, did you happen to see this or know if there is a recording of it anywhere. He has always come across as a charlatan to me, would be interested to see what he had to say.

I haven't seen it and don't know if there is a recording. But as you mention yourself, I would be careful with the things he says. He doesn't have the best reputation.
