How many pets do you have?

I have an idea - from what i know Parrots copy what you say in passing. Maybe teach him one word but do not make him aware you are trying to get him to say it. So like while you walking by him pretend your talking to someone and say - "Bwin" use the word in sentences - like Bwin sucks, and stuff like that in pasing by him - haha - If he learns the one word Bwin - maybe later on he will add his favorite word in front of it or after.

- that would be classic - i would upload it to youtube and get it go viral - haha

It's funny that no one owns 6-9 pets, but there are four people with 10 and more pets. I wonder who these pets are.
I wish I had iguana, but don't think I'll ever get one. Will probably end up with more traditional pets like cats and dogs. Oh, and they should be from some shelter.

I've got two at the moment, a large long haired male who is just about the most docile creature i've every met. Very affectionate and tolerant. And he needs to be as Halloween 2010 we got a kitten by accident! Went with my parents to pick up their new kitten and it turns out when we got there that there were only two in the litter, mum had abandoned them and the farm owner viewed all the cats on the farm as pests (all essentially feral) and just didn't care what happened to them. So we ended up walking away with a tiny little ginger and white girl that was all covered in cow dung.

Interestingly Renee's tale of the cat that plays fetch is the only time i've heard of a cat that does this other than the little female - she will bring a toy to my desk and wait for me to throw it down the stairs for her and return with it to continue the game. If i don't manage to throw it far enough she'll leave the toy just far enough away to make me get out of my seat to get it. (Photos attached below - i'll be damned if i can figure out how to embed them).

We also have two guinea pigs and a fish which incidentally mostly came from adoption due to owners moving away or growing bored of looking after them.

Zoorana you made my day with those pics!!!! Congratz sweety.

Now speaking about me I have a small dog named Deedee. She is a mix between a fox terrier and something which I dont know the world in english to, but its a caniche in portuguese. Anyways she is tiny but she has got the ego of a german Sheppard, seriously! Fire hydrants, shopping bags, dogs 3 or 4 times her size, anything goes in the barking game and she owns our block. I think in the canine world she would be the "capo di tuti capo", the mafia boss if you will, always planning to take over the world, in her sleep that is!

She is always next to me during my work day, usually sleeping (or meditating who knows). She does like children but children adore her, so she just runs from them at all cost, but when my nieces catch up to her she simply gives me the "ok just get the petting over with" look...

I love her and this may sound weird but she is a daughter to me. I worry about her, feed her, bathe her (which she hates) and take care of her when she is sick, and in return she gives me unconditional love, company and keeps my feet warmer at night (although she always betrays me by snuggling with my hubby when its sleep time lol)

We have a small farm house and I have 2 very large dogs there, I cant have them in the apartment in the city, but I go be with them any chance I get. One of them we found on the street and he owns the place now, his name is Sarninha, because when we picked him up from the street he had this scratching illness (which the doctor cured) so we named him after it. The other one looks like a horse, but unlike Deedee he has a reversed ego. He thinks he is a poodle and so in all his size he jumps on your lap and actually believes you can support him (he is much larger than a german Sheppard in comparison). He is a big baby and he is the caretaker of the farm house.

I had other animals in my life before and I have to say it just wouldnt be the same without him. I unfortunately know how it feels to loose them, but I know having them present in our lives makes up for everything and they give us some true life lessons sometimes.

Deedee is my baby hehe and I think she would make many pet enemies on this forum lol

I have 2 lovely dogs; one is a cross between a collie and a retriever called Reginald and a poodle called Fairy.

Poor Reginald suffers from epileptic episodes and Fairy is one of those clever dogs that can predict when epileptic episodes are coming, so she is always warning us that Reg is in trouble, she is like a little nurse LOL

Poor thing and he is full of fears too. I got him at a dogs shelter years ago and I think that experience was really traumatic for him; it was like a loony asylum.
