Question How many US states do you believe will legalize online gaming by the end of 2015?

Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey have now all legalized online gaming. And, as
Buzzy has reported, other states are actively considering online gaming. Here are two such posts made in the past week:

Illinois tries to pass online gaming legislation again (posted today)
New York State Senate considering online gambling (posted yesterday)

Now I don't expect legalization in other states right away, but the dominoes are definitely starting to fall. So, if we look forward to the end of 2015, it seems inevitable that at least some other states will have also legalized online gaming. Time will tell whether it is just a few states, or many of them.

So make your best guess as to how many states you believe will have legalized online gambling by the end of 2015. Note that I'm not including online parimutuel horse and dog racing, which is already legal in 35 states, or lottery-only online gaming operated by state lotteries.

And, of course, be sure to share the thinking behind your guess and your thoughts about affiliate marketing in a regulated US marketplace.

I was to fast with voting. I first voted and then started reading.
The only thing you see in the overview is "How many US states do you believe will legalize online". That is what I voted for.

In the future I think more then 30 states will allow online gambling. But not by 2015. That is to soon. By 2015 I think 10-15 states will legalize online gambling.

I would say at least half. Just like land casinos when states start to see the money they are losing they will get onboard. Hope fully something at the federal level will come to fruition also. At least being able reside in one state and play at another

While New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware and possibly Pennsylvania are moving ahead with online gaming the same cannot be said of the state of Iowa where proposed online poker legislation has failed to progress. Iowa State Senator Jeff Danielson's Senate Study Bill 1068, which would have legalised online poker in the Hawkeye State, is dead, for the current legislative year at least. (PR http://yogonet.com)

I can't say I have much knowledge of the intricacies of American politics, but hopefully there's a domino effect. Once word starts getting around about the tax revenue the states uhmm-ing and aaah-ing will hopefully give it the green light.

The domino effect is what I'm hoping for as well. I don't think there will be too many this year though, but definitely hoping for the majority of the states to join the party next year.
