So I would like to get on your opinion on how many articles a full time writer can create each day within 8 hours of work. Considering there is always some research etc. required I was thinking that 5 well written and researched articles with 500 words each would be realistic.

At least that's the number of articles I used to write. What are your opinions on this. Are 5 articles too much or to little during a 8 hour working day? Thanks for your input!
As a sports writer, there was a point in my career, I could write 10-12 articles a day of 500 words each, 25 days a month. Now, I look at an all-round growth - i.e. most of these articles do not go under my name, so I am looking to build my brand as a sports expert on social media.

As far as full-time writers are concerned, depending on the word count and quality that you are looking at, the number of articles that can be written in a day should not be less than eight. 5 articles of 500-600 words each is too little. Better to hire freelancers in that case.

Thankyou for your insight. Was looking for information such as this as I'm currently looking for some writers myself.

The quality is what you should look for not the quantity. I'll take 1 quality article over 10 mediocre ones

I have wrote well over 2,000 articles online for my websites and it is an extremely hard job. On an average day I do around 4,000 words and on a great day I can do up to 10,000. It is tough to find the motivation to write everyday but if you own a website it is the vital key ingredient. The main problem is mental fatigue so if you overwork someone you will find that in the end they produce less and it costs you more.

This is an interesting yet difficult question to answer. Certainly a writer can produce a lot of content per day but just what kind of quality is it. Good writing requires research and careful thought. Depending on the objective of the content webmasters may be satisfied with shorter article but as we all know the more and better the content the better the rankings. Producing many article and a similar subject can get very dry and a good break from writing or a diverse assortment of subjects can help keep the mind and the writing fresh.

Well written content produced by experienced copywriter - at least 2.500 - 3.000 words per day (7-8 working hours )
