Question How much do you care about the frequency with which affiliate stats are updated?

We announced earlier today that we are now publishing information about the affiliate statistic software used by affiliate programs and the frequency with which programs update statistics. You can see the announcement here:

Stat update frequency and stat software now being published for affiliate programs

So, for this week's poll, I think it makes sense to ask how much affiliates care about the frequency with which their stats are updated.

Based on preliminary data from affiliate programs, it looks like close to half of them provide statistic updates on a daily basis. And about half of them provide updates more frequently, currently ranging from every couple hours all the way down to providing the information in real-time.

How much do you care about the frequency of updates? Be sure to share your reasoning in addition to voting in the poll.

I'm happy with daily statistical report updates, but prefer more frequent updates. The reason being is that I tend to place more trust in programs that update their stats more frequently.

I expect once a day updates at the minimum. Anything more is a bonus but thinking about it... I'm not sure I can think of many programs that update all stats (including depositors and revenue) more than once daily.

Once a day is enough. It's delays and stats outage for up to a week that worries me.

Once a day is fine by me, provided they are accurate and final when published. Any more frequently and I'd get even less work done each day

    That was a good one.

Here's another one: How much do you think affiliate programs care about you, when you do not generate good traffic?

The fact that more and more programs are adding quotas to their TOS should be an indication.

Here's another one: How much do you think affiliate programs care about you, when you do not generate good traffic?
Many programs are moving in the direct that not only do they not want to talk to you, but they do not even want you in their program, and if they allow you to stay in their program they just won't pay you.

The proof is all over this forum that shows that attitude is increasing.

I prefer programs with frequent (almost live) reports. It's not that i check the stats every few hours, but frequent updates are more trustworthy.

Regarding the second question: they not. But there is a big difference if you have generated traffic in the past or not. If not - then why should they?

Because you never know, which giant site will get hit by a penalty and which newbie will raise or land a whale. And if you treat the book by the cover, when the table turns why should they care that now they want their traffic? Even no traffic affiliates give them exposure and it' free exposure so why should they not want it?

This is why bet365 has always stood out, cause it has humane understandings and their managers give each and every affiliate the time they deserve (excluding that YMGlory thing).

In 2015 real time should be standard.. Why would you not make it real time? Their side of the system shows real time so why not us?.. I have a few that do real time.. others that don't. I check my stats a lot, If I have had a few thousand visitors run through the site on a good day I want to see the results as to me each visitor is valuable and if there is a glitch or clicks are not registering I want to know right away.

Real Time reporting is easier for a one-platform operation (ie just Casino or just Poker) and are running on state-of-the-art versions.
Often you will get affiliate software bundled in - or with hooks to common affiliate programs so it's just plug and play.

If you are a multi-platform operation, and have been running for 15-20 years - then it is likely that there is going to be several legacy operations - and combining all the different platforms, channels and reporting can be much trickier.

100% agreed, I dont see any point of not doing it real time as much as possible
