Should have cost? That's very subjective. It costs whatever you agree to pay. It looks like a basic WordPress template - and very little else.

I can get up to five of them with domain names and full hosting for a year for around $200 the set at several good hosts - and it just takes two minutes and a couple of clicks to set up a basic WP blog.

That makes a "cost" price of $40ea for a WP blog site, with full years registration and hosting if you are doing it yourself.

    -------------

But if you did nothing and someone else has set it up for you then you'll also be paying for time spent and a reasonable IT rate would be $40-$50 an hour on top of that IMO for a professional to do it.

If the site also has extra plug-ins, SEO tools, or other custom installations (even free ones) then you might also be paying for that work too ... and and there might be 1-2 hours additional work?

So a price of $80 to $160 would not be outrageous - depending on the amount of time spent on it.

    Hope that helps.

It's pretty basic, and I'm thinking you are referring to the design only. I hope I'm not being insulting, but you may want to try some free wordpress themes instead. Some of them look fantastic, and are free. Most you can make minor revisions to increase the relevance.

    Good luck!

Yeah you can purchase a hard cover book on Wordpress it will tell you everything you need to know.

But I'd also purchase the Dummies Guide To HTML. Because if you don't know how to do that then adding banners or adding simple bits of anything means your going to have to pay someone to do it.

Whiles your at it I'd also look at learning some basis CSS (cascading style sheet). This is what drives most if not all WP themes these days.

Knowing how to alter this to change aspects of you site is going to save you money.

    Cheers

    Dave
