I've launched three sites in 3 years, I've just started my third one last month and sold the other two. I will never split my focus over more sites as I would r ather put all my time and effort into one site. The competitiveness of this industry means fluff sites don't work very well.
The only way I would expand my portfolio is to buy an existing site rather than create one from scratch. Who knows as I build my resources this may change.
Currently dipping my toe back in the water with my pet project site, Vegan Chocolate.
I manage one site on behalf of a client, who owns multiple sites. So I guess in fact I have never launched a new site of my own, although I do intend to start one in the near future, in a different sub-niche to the one I manage.
I guess at first I will look to launch a site every few months until I have a few in my portfolio, and then will just concentrate on making them better rather than continuing to launch new ones.
