I'm post-graduate research student in the UK currently researching the Internet based businesses, with an emphasis on the online gambling sector.

I'd be very interested if you could answer the following ten questions for me:

1. How many "customers" does your site(s) have?

2. How many websites do you operate?

3. Do you operate solely in the online gambling sector?

4. How long have you been operational?

5. Do you employ third-party Webmaster services?

6. What is you approximate annual revenue and profit?

7. What is you approximate annual advertising spend?

8. Do you pay taxes on your profits?

9. Is this your main source of income?

10. Prior to being involved in this business, what was your main occupation?

Hi Rob,
I can tell you right now you're not going to get any answers here. 99.9% of webmasters guard most of that info with their lives - in fact, I doubt many of them would even put it in writing in a PM or email to you.

If you really are looking for the stats, you might want to try setting up a few anonymous polls.

8. Do you pay taxes on your profits?

We all make full and complete declarations. Sometimes we forget to claim for the odd expenses, so we probably pay more than we should. This is one reason why American webmasters are unhappy about their government discarding so much tax income.
