Sure you might want some links etc, but the above is the biggest key

There are many gamblers in Japan.
Online casinos are well known and there are good chances to win.
However, the number of sub-directory type sites is increasing, so you need to plan your strategy in advance if you want to compete in SEO!

For the Japanese Markets
Considering the culture is very important and
perhaps doing a top 10 competitor analysis is also very important but the most important I would suggest is to know and speak to the target audience as you must know the people and their pain points to understand the target audience better.
In the end consistency also matters one must be consistent in terms of the content to remain present and actually in the end to get some attention as well

Foreign SEO is still quite easy to rank in. The Japanese market is extremely competitive though, so you'll still need some Japanese backlinks to rank well.
I would go after long tail keywords first and once those pages start getting some traffic, then you can push the more competitive keywords.
When it comes to on-page, then the amount of words/characters is really important in the JP market. It's almost the more characters you have, the better. Look at some of the top ranking affiliate sites and you will see huge pages that takes 15 seconds to scroll through.

Reaching the Japanese market is often quite difficult for SEO if there is a lot of competition and domain power is not strong. However, by requesting influential accounts on Twitter, it is possible to spread the word, albeit temporarily.
