Hundreds of blogspot backlinks - what to do beyond "disavow"?
Hello,
One of our sites has a few hundred backlinks from shady .blogspot.com sites. An example:
xxxxallphotospickup.blogspot.com/2021/08/craiova-voluntari-voluntari-liga-1.html
They somehow siphon images from Google Images, and post them in endless articles that are obviously spam. As a result, we can't block them on the server side because they are not hotlinking per se but displaying the image from Google's Image search and linking it with the image link...
I exported all such domains from Ahrefs, and disavowed them in the Google Search Console.
What else can I do with them?

Thanks,

If you disavowed them all - you should be all good., unless they keep appearing.
As an alternative you can disavow all *.blogspot.com links - present and future ones.

and take note of the post from the illustrious GM2891 about 8 down on page 2. I have no idea if it works, well over my head! But looks sensible and seems worth trying.

We have a few legitimate blogspot links that I didn't want to get rid of at first.
We have had this blogspot spam for well over a year I would imagine, maybe 2 or 3, hard to remember.
I suppose I should have just blocked the domain and been done with it, but alas, we have probably disavowed 1000+ links at this point from blogspot. If you get really popular, there are another dozen or so xxxblogxxx domains that will start doing the same spammy linking.

Do you see them only via different SEO tools, or are they also sitting in your search console?
If you have them in SC then it's a lot easier to export them from there and add them to your disavow file than using 3rd party tools. Just use any duplicate remover like https://dedupelist.com/#startresults when you get these links to avoid having the same URLs on the list, in case you have some already.
If you add domain:blogspot.com, google will remove blogspot.com from your backlink profile over time completely.
And when it's done, anyone using SEO tools to check your backlinks will still see that you have a ton of Blogspot links coming to your site, but in reality, you'll have none connected to you.
I think it is the best thing to do unless you need some of those links, as PROFRB previously said.

Just make sure you filter every subdmain before disalow. Actually the high quality links from blogspot are as usual not that much, and if you dont know any of them, you can disallow direktly!

We found them in Ahrefs.
I checked - they don't show up in GSC after disavowing them, but more and more keep appearing in Ahrefs.

In my experience, you have to wait for Ahrefs updates.

Don't necessarily believe everything you read (now, where have I heard that before!)....but....
