Anyone that would allow you to use a copy of their site, would be hurting both themselves AND you as this would trigger duplicate penalties in the search engines, and I hope that all who read your post understand this.

It only hurts the copier - i.e. me - and I'm not interested in search engine listing anyway - it's way way way way way saturated and virtually impossible to penetrate.

And anyone that copies content without permission, should be prosecuted. (others may just rather shoot the person)....hmmmm come to think of it.....

actually, purchasing a "copy" of a particular type of website is fairly common in the general webmaster/domain development biz. Check out any of the domain trader forums (for example: dnforum.com) .
