Default I would appreciate some insight as to how to get traffic.

I'm just getting the site up. have some banners, content. What I need is some traffic tips besides keywords as I have those set up too.

Well I don't know about PPC. Google rarely allows it for site in the Gambling niche because they want some licenses and sh*t.
I am not aware by PPC offered by other companies.

Gambling affiliate sites are pretty hard in terms of diversifying traffic. We depend too much on traffic generated from search engines like Google. And as we saw Google may change it's mind overnight.

There has been a strong argument that google's penguin (another smug and childish name) update has been designed by google to force webmasters into using PPC because they have lost their organic traffic. Will be interesting to see who takes the bait.

Wonder if Linux will sue them for stealing their animal mascot.
Poor penguins, like they don't have enough of a rough time as it is with the global warming and all.

OT: build a quality site and have patience. Oh and what the others before me said of course..

I suggest planning and rolling out a social network strategy,
This can be an extremely useful way to engage and keep visitors returning,
Outline some major objectives and plan on spending more time analyzing responses,
I think this is an invaluable tool for the present and future of affiliate marketing
