Default iDotz.net Hijacks Domains? Be the Judge

IDotz.net Cool Domains at Great Prices lays their claim. Recently I sold 12 sites without so much as a hiccup. All went perfectly fine until I tried transferring one out from iDotz.net.

This is really bizarre and is worth a thorough read. Tell me what you seriously think I have my mind made up.

Furthermore I cannot control that which I have not done. I spoke with support a few days ago via telephone and everything was okay. I recently purchased several domains so I could jeopardize my standing with iDotz.net.

As a professional Hosting company does this sound right?

Spamming and/or Abusing our servers are an issue we take very seriously for which we have a zero tolerance policy.

This I am unaware of I recently submitted transfer for this domain. perhaps the new domain holder is responsible and not myself. No reason I should have my account locked and accept responsibilities for anther's actions.

Please unlock my account and I will contact the new domain holder and request it stop

I am not responsible for this! nor will I accept responsibility. The person responsible is the soon to be the the new domain holder. He maybe contacted but why must I accept responsibilities for his actions?

    What about my other domains?

Unfortunately you, as the account holder, are fully responsible for the actions. The tickets weere fully addressed, but the response failed to accept the response and choice to spam our services. This would mean others could easily have anyone's account locked. I have no other choice but to keep the account locked. I refuse to accept the actions of another. Where I am from this would be classed as domain hijacking. I am not pleased in the slightest and will voice my concerns loudly and clearly if this account is not unlocked ASAP.

They are in clear violation here Peter. Its well known all over the internet they hijack peoples domains. They have refused so many peoples requests that not even ICANN will credit them.

ICANN has informed me to file a complaint to the Consumer Protection Network as they have no way of helping because this is a reseller company.

They are a serious fraudulent company... and use any excuse to stop transfers at will and it is funny that in this case they chose this one. I do not know why.

The initial problem started when after 6-7 days it was not done. I sent them a ticket. They replied and said i need to contact my registrar. I did.

My registrar said i need to contact them. So i was being tossed around by them. Then when i was not satisfied and demanded they release the domain name after the 5 days (ICANN POLICY RULES) they again said contact you and get you to do the transfer..

See how this goes, so i had to explain to them the whoe process.. which took up several emails.. of which finally the decided to block my IP and email.

Even you said they blocked you when you asked for help.

As of yesterday i only sent them one more today, after they told me finally that it would be done 5 days after 25th...

All they had to do was say it will be done 5 days after 25th, and will be done on 30th... that would of been it.

Instead they shift this around.. and now hijack the domain name, and your account.... for what??

They legally cant hold you responsible for my emails to them. That is crazy.
We have diff email addresses. We have dif IPS..

They simply have decided to hold this domain. for whatever reason.

But if you do google searches you will see so many people go through this with them....

Mot people had to go through Key Systems, and ICANN to get this resolved.

One person had their account hijacked for 6 months..

    See how they are?

Anyways i have filed a complaint again to ICANN, KEY SYSTEMS, PROTECTION AGENCY, and i have informed them i am not related to you.

I agreed not to send anymore emails, although if they would answer them i would not have sent any others...

What a disgrace of a company they are..

If this is the way it is, all you have to do is email them 10 times, and say your related to their client and their clients account can be hijacked..

They cant punish you because i mailed them... that absurd.

I agree Steve so I decided to sign up here

    http://www.dnforum.com/f122/idotz-net-refusing-allow-transfers-beware-thread-71907.html

    An older thread but relevant.

User handle idotz Goes South lol

No worries Steve there just another company who think they are beyond reproach. The fact is regardless I still retain full property rights whether or not the account is locked. As for the transfer out nothing they can do already in transit. I have seen this happen so many times over the years and the conclusions are always the same. I get my stuff back and iDotz gets smeared.

I have a few other hosts I work with closely for the last 11 years they will yank it out there.

And these are all front page google urls.. from typing in idotz.net.

See how they are.. they have a history of this. I can't imagine they are still in business.. but not to worry...

They better restore your account, and release the domain... thats all i can say right now.

I express my sincerest apologies to iDotz.net. All domains have been returned to me and the one was successfully transferred. When transferring ownership of Domains always allow 5-7 business days in most cases. I knew it would take at least that amount of time. To update DNS always allow 24-48 hrs I knew this as well.

GFPC for $20 it was steal! I am glad to be of service. Lucky Rick did not snatch it your were quicker on the draw.

Another site should be up for sale soon first one to respond gets it. A massive site loaded with useful content with very little programs hosted. Lots of back links with no link buys or cross links to worry about.

    Thank you
