Default If I contact my player ......

While I have never done this in the past I am wondering hat would happen if I contacted my "whale" player from grand mondial casino. You see I find it odd that I use to make between 800-2500$ from this player and now I,m down to about $13 so far this month. I switched to wager model so I knew it would be lower but this is now just ridiculous.

Ive been told they are playing at other reward casinos and I'm wondering if I ask them, will they say they were offered a special promotion via email thus they have decided to try a new casino or will they say they have always had that casino rewards account and just felt like a change.

In the situation where an email was involved, it would mean no affiliate tag was used and a player was transferred to a new casino from the group leaving me out of a lot of potential earning.

I am going to contact them today and see what they say. I will keep everybody here informed as to the answer. I think it's important in the decision as to who we promote and who we don't.

    good luck Pumacat

We once had a new player generate approx. $25k for us in about his 2 months and totally dissapear.

When we queried the players whereabouts, we were informed that player started playing on his old account (another of their brands). Apparently he had this account before he signed up under our tag.

The hardest part to digest was that the player was a big winner under our account since he signed up. Why would a player who is winning big at a casino suddenly stop playing and immediately start play elsewhere? Could it be that he doesnt like winning??

That is peculiar. They shouldn't allow two real money accounts simultaneously. Was it a one time slip or SOP?

Pumacat, Good luck with that. Let us know what happened. Can you offer the whale an incentive for playing on the account tagged to you? Would the program allow you to offer 10% cash back? you could even offer it from your own affiliate earnings just to get him back. I'm sure there is something you could do. Please keep us updated. No one likes losing a whale.

The player went back to play on his old account at another casino within their group
Players are allowed to have an account at each of their 23 brands.

I don't mind the fact that a player can play at one of the other brands of the casino rewards listing. I am concerned if the acquisition of the playshare group created an oppurtunity to contact players and offer special offers thus removing them from our original link.

I'd like to point out that players can have 1 account at each of our casinos.. Since the bonuses given are so high already, plus the loyalty points the players receive, we do not allow incentivised promotion by affiliates or advertisers.

Puma I'm looking at your account again and I see you have 2 players at Grand Mondial. The one I mentioned last week that is playing on another of the accounts was referred by no banner tag, which means they could have come through google or type in. If they came through newsletter, affiliate, advertiser or something like that, I would be able to see a tag there..

Unfortunately we cannot tell the players not to sign up to other casinos. However, as I told you last week I did ask the VIP Manager to get the VIP host to try to move the player back over to grand mondial. I usually will not do this because it could force the player to leave all together (and as mentioned the player is playing considerably less than they were on the GMD account too) - players want to play where they want to play and we want to keep them happy. However I did ask for this to be done for you.

The other player has an account at almost every one of our casinos but is still playing on the grand mondial account.

Unfortunately without pissing off the player there's not much else I can do. If they want to play on the other account they will.

Sorry Renee but I'm not buying the whole " which means they could have come through google or type in" statement. The point is the player has been spending big bucks since 2006 and all of a sudden after the take over she aint playin at all? $13 dollars Renee, $13 fricken dollars.

The odds of a player joining a casino rewards casino just by searching google are pretty low. You guys are on page like a million. If they came from a newsletter then there would be a tag. How did this player join other rewards casinos without an affiliate link.

I think they got an email from rewards. thats the only way I can see it or they would have a tag.

after speaking to Renee last night we came up with a few options to get the player or players back. She was helpful. I also wanted to make it clear this post was not against Renee but against rewards program that I feel is not living up to its potential as a leading affiliate program.

Very true - and on the contrary. As has been proven its a fact that Casino Rewards actually actively encourages players to do just that and they do so without an acceptable level of tagging.

Thanks for noticing the productive posts - hopefully other affiliates will take time to notice as well.
