iGaming North America wraps up in Las Vegas

The iGaming North America conference wraps up today in Las Vegas and the GPWA has plenty of coverage of the event. We've posted two stories from the conference, as major land-based casino companies state their case on why there should be federal online poker legislation in the U.S., while at the same time admitting the chances of such legislation this year are slim.

As far as getting things regulated. Why don't the casinos push the initiative by proposing tax rates, licensing fees and other income streams for the government. Instead of waiting for the government to move along the typical snails pace they should show them the gold at the end of the rainbow and I bet things would progress at a quicker pace. Everyone knows its gonna happen sooner or later. If the casinos want this to happen quickly the should do some of the leg work instead of the wait and see what the government sets up.

The general thrust of this session was if New Jersey wins its court case to get sports betting, then it will happen. If New Jersey loses, then it's never going to happen.
