Default I'm fired up about being an affiliate but need some help...

I have been researching for about 2 weeks now and am still a little confused on a few things, but this is how I view it so far...

Keep in mind that I live in the US and want to keep it all legal...

    1.) Get your Domain Name

2.) Find any web host that allows gambling banners (any suggestions?)

3.) Design your site and content

4.) Find Casino's and affiliate for them...
-> can I use any Casino, or do I have to verify that they are offshore?
-> Do I need any license or permit to be an Affiliate?

5.) Get Traffic to the site and "real" players

I just do not want to put the time and money into it, just to be shut down because something I did was illegal.

p.s. This site is awesome.... and you all are Great

Read this thread (nevermind the garbage in it, it has good legal info )

Most hosting companies don't really care - try www.ProHosters.com or Casinoglen here has a good hosting company also.

The domain name is the hardest part.

You could have a look at www.deleteddomains.com and see if you can grab a dropped one.

In the US, online gambling is not illegal, neither is promoting one. The government has just scared major companies - it's all about tax money.

Anyway, start by finding what you want to do a webpage about... Gambling in general is a very broad topic and most people online are looking for more specific information... tips about a certain game, how to play a game, where to play, money management, etc... I'd decide on a topic that you personally enjoy - beyond the prospect of making a buck from a website...

Then, I would lookinto affiliate programs... Many affiliates offer content and such that you would want to integrate into your site.

When designing your site, think of how often you want to update it. Information must be up to date. Keeping your content changing is a good idea too - it gets people coming back to your site and gaining their trust... Once they trust your site, they are more likely to use your affiliate casinos/sportsbooks.

I'll leave off there and let the experts handle the marketing of the product you've developed
