Default Im looking to start my very own website, Any Theme Ideas?

    Hey guys

I'm looking at trying my hand at this once again.

Would anyone happen to have any suggestions for a good wordpress theme?

I've currently been looking at the mercury theme but any further suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Id like to thank you in advance for asking the time to respond

    Thanks.

    Poka Theme is amazing.

Pls take a look in all the treads about it here in the forum.

Good luck with starting your own website!

It depends on your vertical, but Poka theme has proved to be a very good affiliate theme.

It looks pretty good, allows plenty of customization options, and has decent number of useful shortcodes that can make your life easier.

The Poka Theme looks great, but I think that the Poker Dice Theme looks even better and that's the one I would pick.

Because before I had an extremely tight budget, its abit more lenient now so i can actually try out source some content
and possibly also do some paid ads.

Just search here there are whole threads dedicated to poka theme, and their plugin, as well as other themes.

After PayPal shafted me sideways a few years back, I closed the account, and refused to hold another.

    Poka theme accepts PayPal only.

Hence, contacted the Poka theme developer (3 weeks ago)... He will also accept wire or Western Union. 3 weeks and still waiting for his WU details. Which is kinda off putting, cause if he takes this long to reply to receive payment for a sale, then theme-support could be flaky too???

I got tired of waiting, and bought another theme.

    Good spot!

That's the difference between 'feedback' from someone who uses WP, and those that don't.

Support from Antonis and the guys has been really good to be fair to them. I know they are very busy with custom themes and support issues, but they do get back to you in the support forum pretty quickly. Usually a few working days.

Try https://dinomatic.com/, I particularly like his Spinoko theme. Support is super quick too, typically within a few hours.

IDK mate... He responded quick enough to my initial enquiry. I replied, asking for his WU details (he did say he accepted WU), and reiterating, after 3 weeks of not hearing back, I purchased another theme.

Most theme producers have a merchant PayPal account. This allows them to accept credit cards, from non paypal members. If that option was available, I'm sure he be making more money, cause like me, not everyone has PayPal.

    Wouldn't even accept BTC

All I know is, he wasted 3 weeks of my time, waiting, for a reply, which he never sent.
