    Default ??

I don't understand why the links need to be Belgian.

Just get links from sites as normal and make the anchor text Belgian!

clearly you know nothing about regional link building for gambling sites. for a start the selected text, casino online is the same in belgian and the only way to rank for an english term in a belgian search engine is to have belgian links

Catchingsmoke, please try not to be so condensending when replying to folks.

Wejwebb asked a valid question, and you provided a valid answer that backs up YOUR OPINION.

But many people believe that a link is a link and therefore can help you anyway.

If you are having difficulty finding belgian links than you may have no choice but to also take some non-belgian links.

Another way is to use the search engine of choice in your country, and the terms you want to rank for, and if the results happen to point at US based sites or sites in the UK or other countries, well then they must be ranking ok with those terms and therefore a link from them might not be so bad huh?

Why don't you take Dutch links from sites that rank in Belgium.. As you probably know these Neighbours speak the same language.

I have several 'Belgian ranking' links available. If you have something to trade sent me a PM... if you're looking to buy.. don't bother

    Cheers!

Yes I am aware that dutch links effect the belgian serps, but also this old system of linking in any old manner is working less and less and if anybody listens to what gets leaked from google they should know that google plans to implement contextual linking to a much greater degree. And by the logic of linking dutch links to a beligian site equally I could link to french links due the impact that would have. However as the client I am working for is BIG with a capital B, I can hardly go back and say sorry I can't do what you asked me to here have some french sites instead.

Oh and I accept the previous answer was a little condesending and I apologise if I've offended anyone.

Seems like your into Geo-targeting right? I guess it could be a good help if you try World Casino Directory. You just type in your queries on the search bar with specific location and there goes the possible geotarget list.

Googles tightening it's reigns on unatural linking and there's this new thing I've heard of that google are going to impliment, the keywords of the website you place a link on are going to have an impact for your site in the serps. so it wont just be the anchor text thats important which is why relvency is going to become more important. And besides it looks more natural to target the correct regions anyway

I always like to learn new bits of information. So, catchingsmoke, thanks for enlightening me....even if it was a bit condescending

Granted I am no expert but it would make sense to search for your chosen keywords using the search engines you are targeting. Then use yahoo site explorer to see who they link to.

You mention contextual linking, I am very much into this.

If anyone would like to discuss contextual linking I've got a sports betting website with sections concentrating on a range of sports betting related keywords.

I also have some blogs that I have written articles for in return for a one way link of my choice, so, I can set up one way links in that way as well.

Feel free to contact me if anyone is interested.

Why not try searching on Google.be for sites related to poker in the search engines there. Then contact those sites and see if they would be interested in linking with your site, if your site has content they would like to link to.

this is what I have been doing, but it is a very slow process with many websmaters simply not responding. Added to which I don't speak dutch which doesn't really help matters. Ok I know a lot of them speak english or french and these are the ones who have responded, but I'm still not finding anywhere near enough.

I've also tried Wejwebbs idea of using yahoos site explorer to find sites but the problem of course webmasters simply not replying. whether this is because of language concerns or them all having fake emails I don't know, although it has gone a little bit better recently. I was mostly wondering if anybody knew about a dutch webmaster forum anywhere or something like that which would speed up the process slightly

Steave did you read what I was looing for?
Your sites are US hosted and in English. Thus, they are not what I was looking for.
I will have a look at them and potentially use them for a different client, however they are not my priority at this current time.

Also if you have sites to send me please PM them to me in the future. Don't post them in the thread, especially if their not relevant to the thread.

Seems like you have pots of casino sites to share. Although most of them is an english version and catchingsmoke was actually seeking help for belgian based sites. But hey, catchingsmoke, have you tried searching at http://www.worldcasinodirectory.com/?
