Thumbs down Important Malware (Cryptophp) to watch out for

I am just alerting everyone to something that happened to me, which destroyed my site and all backups. It also downloads to your computer and affects all files on it as well. The malware is Cryptophp and there are mutiple versions of this virus. It mainly affects ANY CMS system and anysite running and using php files.

More information about this virus can be found here: http://blog.fox-it.com/2014/11/18/cr...ement-systems/

You can get this virus a number of ways: Someone placing it on your site, using plugins or themes that havent been tested and by downloading pirated plugins from warez sites according to this website. From what i have read it has affected over 23,000 websites todate. So i urge everyone to scan their websites by visiting here: http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/

I wouldn't wish anyone else to go through what i have with this virus.

In order for someone to place this virus on a website, that someone needs write access to the site, either by using your ftp (such as when you have a weak password - or if your on a shared server and someone hacks the root server when someone else has a weak password) or by exploiting a plugin.

Any and all warnings about exploits and hacks are good though, since it helps everyone remember that anyone can be vulnerable.
