Just received the following from Income Access which is important to know.
We are excited to announce that we will soon be updating how we calculate and display unique clicks and impressions. These enhancements are designed to provide you with more accurate and timely data, empowering you to optimize your campaigns more effectively.
This update is scheduled to rollout on Tuesday, May 14th.
How will clicks and impressions be calculated?
• Clicks and impressions in our reports refer to unique clicks and impressions.
• Raw click and impression counts will still be available in the Adserving Report.
• Transitioning from our current 24-hour window, we'll adopt a 5-minute "unique" window for tracking clicks and impressions, enabling more precise analysis.
• Unique click/impression windows will be defined as 5-minute intervals, starting from 12:00:00 AM to 12:04:59 AM, and so forth.
o Examples:
▪ If a user clicks on an ad twice more than 5 minutes apart, it will be considered as 2 unique clicks.
▪ Similarly, if a user views an ad twice more than 5 minutes apart, it will be counted as 2 unique impressions.
• You may see an increase in clicks/impressions as a result of this change. This can be due to geographical click source, anonymization technologies, etc.
• Importantly, this adjustment will not impact sales/registration/install counts.
