Default Introduction and Experience with Online Casino Affiliates

    Hi everyone,
I’m excited to join the GPWA community! I’ve been running my own online casino affiliate site for 8 years, and I’ve learned a lot about the industry in that time. I’m still constantly learning, though, and I’m hoping to get more involved in this forum to exchange ideas and experiences.

One of the things I’ve found most challenging is keeping up with the ever-changing rules in different jurisdictions. How do you all stay updated on the legal changes that affect your affiliate businesses? I’d love to hear your strategies for staying compliant while still running a successful site.

Looking forward to contributing and learning more from all of you!

Welcome to the GPWA! I have been part of the community for just a couple of years, but in that time, I learned at a much faster pace than when I was on my own. I am sure you will have a similar experience. Here, you will find tons of valuable information and plenty of people willing to help.

Regarding your question about staying updated, I recommend focusing on one market, reading portal news specific to that market, and following people who work with it. It is tempting to try to stay on top of everything and expand the business to new territories that seem attractive. Still, I’d recommend waiting until you're familiar enough with the market you’re in and have what you currently manage well-established.

I try to stay away from regulated markets as much as possible, because of all the hassle. But when I was working in regulated markets, I normally just had the affiliate managers contact me whenever there was an issue on my site I had to fix in order to stay compliant. The rules change all the time, so it's very hard for an affiliate to know about all the rule changes.

    Welcome to the forums.

Regulated markets are a great hassle .

It has been and always easy to advertise the grey markets

Also, I have to agree with Nodepositcasinos - stay focused and learn all you can about 1 market and all the verticals there : sports, casino, poker, esports and anything gamblers would want to pun money on

Stay tuned, there are people here always willing to help

Each country has its own documentation regulating these rules. I think to begin with you need to familiarize yourself with them in order to generally assess how everything works in certain countries in the field of gambling
