Default Italian Government (AAMS) blocking affiliate websites

    Hi guys and girls,

A friend of mine from Italy tried to visit our website www.bestbettingcasinos.com and he noticed that he could'nt open it.
It seems like the Italian Goverment is blocking our website for inhabitants from Italy. A bit strange in my opinion as we do not offer Italian language on our website. And we are not a real online casino.

Do you have the same problem?
Anybody an idea how we can solve this?

Hope to receive some good information from you guys. Thanks in advance.

The message Italians see on our website is the following

    "Warning - Unreachable site

In application of the decree of the Autonomous Administration of the State Monopolies (AAMS) regulating the removal of the offers through the internet of games, lotteries, bets or betting competitions with cash prizes in the event of absence of authorization, (...) the requested site can not be reached because it does not have the necessary authorizations to operate in Italy."

Well, AAMS is blocking affiliate sites a long time ago. This is not something new.

This is done when the affiliate site is promoting companies that are not permitted to operate in Italy.

It does not matter if your site language is in English or whatever.

The only thing you have to do is to remove the "non-valid companies" (according to Italian law) from your pages.

Then mail them in order to lift the site block to their next update.

Use GEO, filter the pages for Italian users, display only the licensed ones, and then mail the related AAMS department.

Their site is in Italian and much complicated, so you will need some more search to find the correct page to make your submission.

Maybe some Italian user here can help you.

    Thanks for this perfect information.
Will work on it as soon as i have time for this.
What about adding a layer in Italian language? With licensed casinos. Will that do the job?

Strange thing is that Askgamblers is not blocked in italy, and they have huge amounts of non licensed casinos on their website.

I know that at one time there was a published list of gambling sites that were blocked in Italy. If anyone knows if this information is still published, it would be really helpful to know the location of the current list. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

Yeah, i would love to have this list.
So I can react on it and see what other non blocked sites have done to solve this problem.

A pity that they're not giving you the backlink at least.

Solution is to show just Italian-licensed brands to Italian IP's.

AAMS or any goverment blocking of websites can be bypassed by vpn. I'm a professional gambler, so I haven't tried any blockers but after looking around a bit, gamblock claims to be vpn proof. elenco_siti_inibiti.pdf only has 9079, which is crazy as there's pretty much new sites every day.
