This year G2E in Las Vegas on 3-6 October 2011, for the second year in a row, will be an interesting place to be for folks in the iGaming industry.
On Monday, the iGaming Congress at G2E takes place. It consists of five presentations designed to introduce land-based gaming executives to the world of online gaming. You can view the conference tract here: http://g2e2011.conferencepath.com/pr...ck&trackID=893. We will be attending and reporting to GPWA members on highlights of these sessions from an affiliate perspective. These sessions are priced for gaming industry executives at $995 for the day.
Most affiliates will want access to the G2E exhibit hall, which includes iGaming Pavillion exhibitors as well as hundreds of land-based gaming industry vendors. This is the largest gaming related trade-show in the world, and everything new in the industry is on display. Access to GPWA and APCW members is free as long as you register in advance by the 11th of September. After that date only registration at the event is permitted, and the on-site registration fee is $199. So, it pays to register early if there is a possibility you may attend.
To register in advance for a FREE pass, use the link http://www.globalgamingexpo.com/EW177 on or before September 11.
The registration instructions state “Please enter your name exactly as it appears on your mailing piece.” But don't worry, it works just fine if you register with your name even without having a mailer in hand with your name on it.
The GPWA will be exhibiting Tuesday to Thursday, 4-6 October in booth 6017, so be sure to stop by and say hello if you are in Las Vegas then.
Plans are being made for various affiliate get togethers during the G2E conference, and we'll publish information about those events as they are finalized.
