Default Kate holding baby wearing blue costs bookies fortune

KATE HOLDING BABY WEARING BLUE COSTS BOOKIES FORTUNE

Leading bookmaker Coral have been hit with losses of over 100k following a major gamble on Kate leaving the hospital holding the baby and wearing a blue dress.

Coral had offered even money on Kate emerging from the hospital holding the baby but punters backed it into 4/6, and Coral also offered 5/1 about Kate wearing a blue dress but that was also well backed into 3/1 favourite.

"We have been given a right Royal roasting today to the tune of 100k as punters piled their cash on Kate holding the baby and wearing blue." Said Simon Clare, Coral Spokesman.

George is the favourite with Coral to be the baby's name at 7/4 after a huge gamble with over 10,000 bets placed today on that name.

I thought all the money had piled in on the dress being white/cream?

(admittedly I was bored senseless by it all by yesterday though)

There comes a point when you realise you've been staring at a door for 40 minutes and wonder if perhaps there is something more productive to be done with your time!

It amazes me what a fascination people have with them. I can understand if you're betting and want to know if you've won, but otherwise they are just people who had a kid. Well that's how i see it anyway. Could be different if I lived there.

I agree, and yet the baby will be our 'king' one day. About time we change that!

It was watching that door for 40 minutes that finally did it for me... having to listen to the drivel that was passing for expert commentary in the television studio.

Not much better than this, really....

The Daily Mail even had the cheek to publish a story accusing the BBC of 'going to far' with its 'sycophantic coverage' of the royal birth!

    The nerve!
