Far from it... One affiliate manager "double booked" an appointment and bumped us - which I'm perfectly OK continuing on with not doing business with this group.
Another two affiliate managers we have been working with failed to show up at their agreed upon meeting time/place.
I'll be honest, I'm surprised to see this from an affiliate. I thought it was only us affiliate managers who get stood up.
This conference was the lowest stand up rate by far for me. Only one person didn't show up for a meeting.
At the last conference I would say at least half of my meetings didn't show up.

I have been stood up plenty of times, but I don't think this has ever happened to me at a conference.
I would never even consider standing up Renee....

I wouldn't of been, been stood up plenty at conferences. same bloke stood me up 2 years on the bounce. some ***** at stan james had booked me in at a certain time wasn't ready and really didn't want to bother having the meeting we'd arranged.
one more wasn't ready last year, so i bumped him after waiting 20 minutes, then my phone didn't stop ringing from him
I'm sure once they have gotten them from the photographer they will add them to their FB page. They always do.

Me too, the first time I went to a conference I thought it was best to arrange meetings with everyone and meet anyone who sent me an invite. Naiive at the time I suppose, and there are many programs just wanting to reel you in and get you signed up.
Anyway, "meetings" are rarely more than 15-20 mins long, so you can't discuss a lot. You might as well just turn up at each advertisers' stand and have a chat - same thing, unless of course you need to meet someone specific to talk about specific items and issues.
Been stood up loads, that's why I just met one advertiser this conference. That said, I probably got to speak with 20 others without the hassle of a meeting schedule and running from one marketing speech to the next
The worst stand up I had - I won't name the company - I arranged a meeting, went over and the person was obviously free, standing around and chatting to colleagues, looked over at me and told their "subordinate" to tell me to come back later as she just didn't seem to fancy it that early in the morning after a long night out. I was about to sit down with them and discuss how we could put their ads out to 5 million people per month. Shame really, that was 4 years ago and I haven't been near their affiliate program since!
I heard all of Paddy no-showed on the 2nd/3rd morning after a bender the night before! Pretty much confirms my opinion of Paddy.
