Indeed, there must be a hell of a lot of duplication of online accounts between the two brands also, any attempt to combine the two customer bases would be incredibly messy for everyone.

Both. Doesn't include the Gala side of the business as far as I'm aware though.

They've said that they will keep separate brands, and separate pricing and offers. It still has to go through CMA but the general consensus is that it will get through fine (helped by keeping both brands, and they will have to sell some shops)

It will be interesting to see if the brands can stay competitive, or maybe even become more competitive after this.

I hope it will not change too much to the brands. For me Ladbrokes works fine at the moment.

...some West End advertising agency has probably charged them £400k for the rebranding exercise, claimed to have taken the agency's directorate away for a few days to come up with the solution and presented back a 50-page PowerPoint presentation explaining why 'Labrokes Coral' is the best answer after all

I've had nothing but good experiences with Coral, but not so good with Ladbrokes. And I hope that this merger won't taint Coral's quality on their affiliate business side.

to me the team at coral affiliates are spot on, good, helpful people that know this trade inside out, hope it doesnt all turn to **** now
