    Default Link exchange

Did any one noticed that the link excange thing is geting out of hand with gambling sites? I been geting emails demanting a link "we added your site to our directory so now add ours" or "we have learned that our website is not showing on your site
Be sure if you do not list our website in the the next 10 days we'll have no choice but to remove your site from our website listing"
Well I got news for some of these webmasters PLEASE remove my site I didn't asked you to add me in your listing in the first place, I don't like to add my site to a ten page list!

    Ooooh

The favorite of mine is when they send a "warning" about not finding their link.

I like a clear concise approach where the webmaster obviously looked at the site. A mass mailer ends up in the junk mail folder anyway. It's all well and good to hire a links manager but they should at least handle things professionally rather than mechanically.

I get three or more off those warnings a day and some of the I just visit your site.... and they go on to describe some other site, and to make thinks worst they demant that you add their site first!

The ones that I hate are the ones that tell you that they can't find their link according to an agreement I supposedly made with them. I have a spreadsheet listing every site I have ever linked with or tried to link with. God, I hate friggin' liars.

Every one of those sites get listed as "Never Link To". If they start right out by lying, how could I trust them to leave my link up if I do exchange?

Yes, agree that these types of emails are normal thing, but i will say that when a webmaster or link builder send a email, he should explain, why is link on his website inportant for you. He can write about his website, his PR and the quality of the page, in that condition, there are best chances to get link exchanged

Today, alone, I received 3 of these "1st warning" emails...

Who do these guys think they are?

Their emails went on to say that links to me would be taken down in 10 days...I told them I would be pleased if they took them down today!

I also hate the ones that offer PR4 or 5 links in return for the same PR. They never bother looking at my sites. One is PR3 and the other is PR0.

So now you are spamming our Spam Hall Of Shame. This is a GAMBLING webmaster association. Neither of those two sites have anything to do with gambling. And please do not derail other people's threads for your own purpose.

I'm getting numb nuts adding links to sites that have zip to do with gambling.
Not to mention the fact that I've got in BIG bold red letters only gambling sites accepted.

I even had some clown a few weeks ago attempt to add 30 urls with in a 1 minute duration of each other. Least to say I went click, click ,click in the back admin and deleted the lot

On a + I've still got my links on his sites point back to me!

I've now had to setup ip logging, this seems to have helped.
