Has anyone used the services of Link Research Tools? If you have I am curious if you saw any results, good or bad? It seems like they know what they talking about but anyone can come up with a good pitch to sell something. It is not super expensive so if it helps, even marginally, might be worth the money.

I am using Majestic SEO. It is a decent tool I only use it to analyze expired domains I purchase. For this purpose it is pretty useful. If you want to reverse engineer your competitors SEO strategy just keep in mind that many webmasters block htaccess of crawlers like Majestics, MOZ or ahrefs so all these tools will not show all links.
Never researched backlinks, I concentrate more on content and get natural backlinks a lot of the old schoolers will disagree, and price wise i think they are expensive..
