How to use LinkedIn for promoting my Business
You have to sign up and create your own profile (it's a kind of online CV). After getting a certain number of connections (I think it's 10), you will be allowed to create a company page, which is similar to other social network sites. this is what I found on LinkedIn:
You can add a new Company Page only if you meet all of the following requirements:
- You must have a personal LinkedIn profile set up with your true first and last name.
- Your profile strength must be listed as Intermediate or All Star.
- You must have several connections on your profile.
- You're a current company employee and your position is listed in the Experience section on your profile.
- You have a company email address (e.g. john@companyname.com) added and confirmed on your LinkedIn account.
- Your company's email domain is unique to the company.
You can read more about it here. Good luck!
The biggest issue with LinkedIn is that there is no way to keep your email address 100% private.
ANY connection can see that and they have absolutely NO INTEREST in changing that, or even discussing why that is a bad thing.
It is however an excellent recruiting tool for job recruiters, or those looking for career changes.

You can also join group discussion and participate by posting your requirements/business ads there. You can add people to your network, add your company's logo as profile picture for more visibility

At the moment, I use only Twitter, Fb, G+ and Pinterest.
Pinterest is very helpful, nowadays. :)
I've been with LinkedIn for a long time but I haven't fully harnessed its potential. I think I'm missing a lot.
I use LinkedIn to get in touch with affiliate managers and people working in marketing departments of casinos or software providers.Quote:
