Default Locked high roller player account. Why?

I've been promoting Buffalo Partners for many years and have signed up a decent number of big and small players. Last week, I noticed that one of my high rollers had his player account locked after losing a significant amount of money. I was credited with the revenue share portion of the money, but I wonder why his account was locked. He's been playing since 2014, so it's not like he's a new player who is trying to scam the casino. I've asked my a.m. to let me know why his account was locked and am waiting to hear back from him.

It's possible I guess. It happened shortly after he lost a lot of money, but the odd thing is that he's playing for years. Maybe you're right. Thanks.

Maybe the player did self exclude ... maybe he/she has now been moved into a new affiliate free account where they can keep all the profits and spend a bit more on VIP retention.

Have seen this many times before in previous incarnations of Buffalo Partners - you won't get an explanation and you'll never see them back.
    Welcome to the Buffalo System.

That's what I was afraid of. It's very suspicious.

Is it suspicious when a player, after losing money for 5 years, decides to take a break? At least they are so transparent to show stats down to the player. With other programs there might be much more such "suspicious" things going on, but you just can't notice because you don't see any player data.

It's sad for an affiliate to happen, and I know exactly how the feelings that you have, but on the other hand you have profited for 5 years. And the player might come back, who knows?

This does sound weird (probably the player did self exclude) but itís not uncommon for players to find their way back again. Hopefully, youíll hear from your affiliate manager with an explanation very soon about this.

    A lot of maybes.

Buffalo do have a high roller clause in their T&Cs so it's likely this player triggered it.

I'd be interested to hear what did your AM have to say about it.

It's been a while, but I can confirm that I have received many 'extras' on my monthly payment from the six-month 'release', sometimes big amounts but usually quite small. I haven't had anything 'temporarily confiscated' for some time, to my knowlege.

I seemed to lost few highrollers on couple of brands from Sweden after the license came there earlier this year. Not sure if they took a break, or something happened with the player tags during the transition to the license :/

Didnt got any comments fr am:s reg. this due the privacy rules they have.

Had a HR at Referback, who, would drop between 19 - 25K per month, for years. As soon as Buffalo took over (1'st Aug 2014?),and within a few days he won 90K. By the end of that month, he was 65K positive and subsequently was corralled: an action RF never initiated. The follow month my HR went MIA, and he/she has never returned.

Granted the account wasn't locked, but given he/she had been playing for years, it seemed a bit strange to me.

So, while your HR may have decided to give online gambling the flick, I'm going to be cynical, and agree with Gooner's opinion

Whilst not a scientific study, I have found useful evidence at the end of long conferences, when some affiliate managers and members of staff start to forget where they are are who is listening or who they are actually talking to. 3am and they're openly boasting about the reality of high rollers being detagged/moved to a VIP brand (non-affy paid). And much worse.

Privacy... even before the EU GDPR came into force, programs and gaming entities vigorously embraced these statements. Yet, most seem to develop amnesia about said "privacy rules" when they trade; sell; exchange; or otherwise obtain affiliate/player info for their own purposes.

@Fictionnet - mate while I haven't attended any conferences (too far away), over the years I've heard similar stories from reputable sources.

fortune used to be my number 1 program for english speaking microgaming platform brands.

since the buffalo merger, buffalo is now my best converting program and best player value/retention for english speaking geos.

lots of controversy regarding buffalo, but I get paid and so do my players, so its hard not to promote them.

I can certainly attest to Fortune's superb VIP program. They were one of the best on offer.

What's happening there now, sounds like Video Slots. It's almost contempt for being a VIP player. Sweet FA, and no appreciation. On a plus, thanks to Video Slot's crap VIP attention, I stopped gambling online. Better the cash in my pocket, than tight-fisted-scrooges!
