Looking into new markets (South Korea and India)

Been what seems like forever since I last posted on GPWA. I am doing some research for myself and a client on two markets being South Korea as well as India. If anyone operates in these markets can they share by private message or here who you feel are the top 5-10 operators in the market as well as the most common payment providers used. I have done some research but really looking for some other opinions to see if what I am finding out is the same.

Betting on games of chance (sportsbook & casino) is still illegal in those countries, though betting on skill games (fantasy sports and card games) is legal and booming in India

That is the likely reason rummy tends to be so popular among a handful of Indian sites, it just seems odd none of the larger operators have put together a room or 2 to take better advantage of it.

It seems like it could be done efficiently online, although the total rake would tend to not reach what it does in poker I am assuming.

Understandably it would never be huge I would think, but as an add-on I could see it working in very specific markets due to some of the restrictions mentioned above.

As for South Korea and Japan, they are certainly great markets for casino and betting (probably much more so for casino) but making a proper site for these markets for someone from Europe or America seems to be difficult.
It's not so much the content, you can always translate the site. However, localization and UX is something I don't understand when looking at their sites. Lots of blinking elements, underage (probably full-grown but that's the impression they give) girls in casino graphics, etc.
As I was looking at Asian sites from the gambling niche, Chinese, Indonesian sites already look definitely more European. Partner sites from other countries I have not seen.
Although, as far as I know, for example, in China players are recruited not exactly through affiliate sites but more through social media and hundreds of mirror sites.
India is definitely cricket and has a large English-speaking audience.

It is easy to find information about European countries, but Asian and African countries are often a mystery. If you have some interesting articles and studies about gambling, betting from those regions then you can share or recommend.
