Default Looking for top domains / websites

    Hi

I'm looking for premium US or UK domains and / or websites related to casino/slots/betting/free bets / affiliate based/operator based

Not looking for long tail domains. Looking for search term / exact match domains.

    Example

FreeBets.com be classed as a good name Vs bestfreebets.com would be classed as a bad one

.COM ONLY unless you have a golden .NET

    serious sellers only.

Please PM to start a chat.
    Or email maxkeith8000@gmail.com

    Thanks

You need to look up the definition of premium, and then also go back and read the OP post more carefully.

Default The long and short of it...

Looking for top domains, ay? PM sent.

Interesting, Max the OP here appears to be the only person I've seen yet who actually has a good and accurate understanding of the idea of "long tail." Normally I don't like that term because of how misused it seems to be, but Max has actually nailed it with his example. However, from what I have seen, it normally appears to be a completely misused term involving one of the biggest misconceptions about domain names of them all, and appears to normally just refer to "long" alone no matter how great and accurate a domain is. This is something I've written extensively about including in my previous posts here. So a domain like BestFreeBets.com in the example above is clearly just an example of adding words to arrive at a domain, and for that reason I will now embrace this term "long tail." I have a six word domain listed at my site that once had a real bid of $6.7 million on it before I acquired it, however, as in someone was really willing to pay that. That (and many others) is a great example of when "long" is often not only super valuable, but sometimes even better and more valuable than something shorter. The bottom line is that sometimes the best and most authoritative category killer one or few EMD phrases for a specific subject are the three word phrases vs. two, and sometimes even four or more. In general we would no doubt like to have the few best short domains such as Poker.com, Casino.com, etc., but ironically as well several of the top reported sales of all time were not for one word domains but for two, such as PrivateJet.com and VacationRentals.com in the tens of millions of dollars, beating out many much shorter domain sales.

    @top domains -
"I have a six word domain listed at my site that once had a real bid of $6.7 million on it before I acquired it, however, as in someone was really willing to pay that. "

If you dont mind me asking - I take it that you paid more for it(?) As in why would the guy sell it to you for less.. and if he did -then why wouldn't you sell it for even $1M (?)

Long tail is as good as short tail but it depends on the name - what it means, if its a phrase, call to action, whether it gets any exact searches or how it is as a brand name etc...

By the way its interesting that you mentioned vacationrentals.com since www.vacation.rentals not long ago sold for quite a bit.. and it was not a .com. I assume it went for that price due to its branding potential.

Well I must say, you have an interesting screen name there.

Some of the saga of this domain is a matter of public record and some is shrouded in mystery.

Over the years I have occasionally tried to find some trace of the previous registrant, but it's as if he vanished from the face of the earth without a trace, as if perhaps conscripted to go off to war and fight in a great battle of good vs. evil in a far away galaxy...

Yes you also have a good sense regarding long vs. short. However, what I have never liked about the phrase "long tail" is that it has usually seemed to be intended to be a pejorative term based on bias and irrational groupthink, and convey mindlessly the idea that short is always better than long in all circumstances and regardless of reality and the real world. Clearly you are another person who gets it, however.

Regarding new TLDs, there are only very rare exceptional diamonds among the weeds. In most cases those are merely diamonds in the form of rare whole domains within a TLD, not whole TLDs. That's certainly a nice one. Home.Loans is also an excellent example. But then there is the vast multitude of "non-exceptions," like the countless stars of that far away galaxy but not nearly as bright. Rare exceptions certainly exist and I even like a few myself as an end user, but except for the exceptions, a rare few of which are certainly great, .com is still the general gold standard a thousand times over. Only the rare exceptions can occasionally compare or compete, but it seems the whole new gTLD phenomemnon and nearly every such domain really just enhances and accentuates the already established value of .com in general, except for the rare exceptions and including some examples among ccTLDs.

I have LatestFreeBets.com which I think is a pretty good name.

End of the day FreeBets.com etc is gona be so rare and very expensive that you HAVE to go for something else, unless you have millions
burning a hole in your back pocket.

i doubt that he has millions to burn, if he has he could go to any premium domain and ask the registrant to buy it for few millions

This post is kinda useless .. there is no way you can find what you looking here
