Hi do anyone know how to find out which link one lost for free? I know there is ahrefs but it cost. I lost a link and I want to know which one, is there such a tool/site for free?

Hey, if you use Screaming Frog and the Wayback Machine, you should be able to make a recovery for most of the URLs from previous generations of the website or websites in question. Then, by using Screaming Frog and Microsoft Excel, you can verify all redirects are done and reclaim those important lost links. This should get the job done for you. Best of luck!
PS. I don't know of any free version and Screaming Frog is the one that I use. Screaming Frog does have a free version which will also sort out your problem.

Are you doing this search, 'cause you rankings dropped at search engines?

How can you know that you lost a link, but don't know which one?

Is this a link to your site or an internal link? It's not very clear......
bettingworx.com - latest betting app reviews & guides for Android, iOS & mobile.
androidbettingappguide.co.uk - Reviews, download guides & info for betting apps on Android devices
bettingapps365com - Dedicated Android app store for all gambling apps
bingoappguide.co.uk - Reviews & guides for all real money bingo apps
appsdeapuestas.es | app-scommesse.com | pokerappguide.com | gamble-usa.com
So you knew you had a link, but you don't know from where? Hmmm...
If you want to try, look on fiver for shared SEO tools accounts - it cost fraction of the original price and should be enough to check Historical tab in Referring Domains![]()

Ok, I understand. Do not forget that Internet is a living organism - links come and go.
Also, different tools will show you different links - compare the numbers in Majestic, Moz and Search Console.
To be honest, I wouldn't waste the time and money to chase one link (unless it was from a very high authority page)
Be VERY careful about the use of screaming frog, some larger sites will block your IP if you hit their networks with screaming frog as it has a habit of hitting the bandwith pretty hard and pretty consistently. (I can't completely blame them for blocking someone using a spider that can be a bandwith hog, and yet return nothing back)
And majestic, well some people block the majestic user agent.
