Love(relationship) or Gambling - What would you choose ?

Have you lost a loved one because of what you're doing ? Was your relationship broken because of your job ?

I can say that I lost the love of my life 1 year and half ago because of this ... I love what I'm doing but can't have them both ... Most women prefer you on a normal job instead on this area ... We had big fights at that time ...
Well I'm happy now, My life changed, I have more confidence than before, I'm single and I can do whatever I want.

i'm not gambling ! i'm talking about gambling industry ... do not confuse affiliate marketing (promoting casinos) with actual gambling .... the question here is what would you choose .... between working on gaming industry by promoting online gambling or a relationship which does not accept this ...

oh yes , anyway doesn't matter , i'm 10 times more happy than ever ... believe me .. You can do much more alone ... i can go out whenever I want - and do many other crazy things haha ... and so on ...

I don't gamble much, the only time I gamble is when the Euromillions has a large promotion like the draw yesterday for £80 million, I used to play slots but I wrote down how much I spent vs how much I got back and never played since, I am an occasional gambler, if I'm in a pub I may have a go at the one arm bandit but other than that I don't gamble so it never becomes an issue in my life. Having said that I do know that it is a big problem for some people and I hope that if you choose online gambling that you seek help from one of the many channels of support available to you.

Ah, my mistake, then on that account I would imagine the money you make in the gambling industry far outweighs the relationship as usually the money makes the relationship better

The Gambling Industry is something people don't like. But you don't gamble yourself. I don't see why she would leave you for making money out of this industry.

If what you do is not good enough for her I think you are better of without her. You didn't do anything wrong.

a very interesting poll. If someone loves you, they should love all parts of you good and bad and at least accept what you do (even if they aren't happy). They might not have to like it, but would they rather you be a bum all day and doing nothing, not bringing home any money?
I think it sounds like you are better off without her tehsik. She would only of found something else to complain about. Some people are never happy, and I think its more often than not a problem with themselves and their own insecurities.

I think its all about finding the right person. I mean you do need to make time for everything in life especially what's important to you. However, if you have a busy work schedule you cannot expect to go out with someone with too much time on their hands because they will drive you crazy!! It's not for them, and it's not for you. I think the best relationships are with a person who understands your job/career. Like this you can discuss your day with them, help them etc. You have lots in common in this way too, should make the relationship last longer.

Hey if she couldnt stand your job then away with her. If she can appreciate the hard work you dedicate to your job then she isn't worth the time and stress of fighting. I think you are much better of this way until you find somebody else that does appreciate you.

I am celebrating 5 years with my girlfriend this February, and have worked in the industry even before I met her.
If she felt I needed to switch a career, I would do it.

The real question is can one just switch to a different field after 7 years the same industry?
