Default Major Bitcoin Debit Card supplier cancels all cards

Just got an email from wavecrest supplier to a lot of wallets, Xapo, spectrocoin etc... all visa cards have been cancelled as of now... I have found myself using the card less and less lately but still was a great tool to have for instant spending cash.

I'm very sorry to hear about that.

Did they give you a good reason as to why?

Xapo is a scam. I deposited some funds into it shortly before Christmas, but I'm unable to transfer the money out. Then I googled "xapo reviews" and learned that there are numerous complaints from users who deposited money into xCrapo but are unable to withdraw. There is no reply from customer support either. So users beware and steer clear of xapo.

Never had a problem with them and used them quite a bit, I know some unverified accounts had problems and there was also a long delay in verifying the accounts, but would they let you draw out in the form of BTC? probably the best option is convert funds to btc and send

My account was verified in early 2017. It's only during the last few weeks that I started experiencing system problems with them. I transferred a small amount of BTC into my account, and the amount was reflected in my xapo account balance. However when I clicked on the BTC wallet that I had deposited $130 into and tried to transfer the money out, the system showed that the money was not available to be transferred out. According to their customer reviews, it seems that many users have experienced similar issues. I contacted support, and although they say that they will try to reply with 24 hours, it has been over a week now and no reply. I only lost $130 so it's not a big deal. I just want to warn others about this company and share my experience.

I heard a speculation that this might be some kind of EU ban. Bitpay is off as well, but only for EU. US cards work.

It is no surprise to me that the existing money-changers will fight the up and coming money-changing technology in order to maintain their dominance.

Shop local. Talk to your local business owner and try to convince them to go crypto. That's how this thing changes the world... bypassing the pre-existing system. When enough people use crypto between each other, there is no need to convert into fiat

Will be interesting to see what happens to TenX ...

Their whole reason for being is the crypto to VISA branded debit card - and they've made a big thing about taking a lot of time to jump through all the hoops - they are just issuing cards to EU people right now.

    UPDATE :
TenX have posted a video on Youtube
    Source : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atbKP3u54KU

Synopsis :- Wavecrest cancelled all cards
    - You will be getting a replacement soon
    - Withdrawals will be restored next week
    - The wallet keeps working as normal
    - New global issuer will be live soon
    - TenX will soon be the only program live!
