Default Major change to our industry....

A group of 65 of the online gaming industry's largest operators and gambling affiliate programs have joined together to collaborate efforts to help ensure the online gaming industry will be managed and networked professionally and effectively going forward. The cooperation of online gambling affiliate programs has always been a topic of interest, and in light of the recent industry developments, including numerous a fiasco involving one of the major networking and conferencing companies, it has now become critical that action is taken in a proactive manner.
"Our motive on this collaboration initiative is to simply ensure that operators, gaming affiliate programs and the affiliates themselves have a resource in place that best represents our needs and those of our affiliates and business partners. Accordingly, the goal is to support an entity that is aligned with our interests and will help cultivate our community in a fair and impartial manner including developing business relationships as well as optimizing networking opportunities." One operator representative had to say.
He continued, "In reaching out to the rest of the community, we are actively seeking a solution that will be in the best interest for all parties involved. We are confident that by working collectively we will find a mutually beneficial solution."

    Intriguing.

I see that was submitted to G911 by "Guest". So maybe it's just hearsay? Although it does seem fairly specific. The quote...

Accordingly, the goal is to support an entity that is aligned with our interests and will help cultivate our community in a fair and impartial manner including developing business relationships as well as optimizing networking opportunities
...might be referring to an existing forum like GPWA or a new one being set up by the operators I guess. makes some sense though. Interesting times. I wonder how this will impact on the conferences.

    Hi Simmo

It is not hearsay. The affiliate programmes are banding together to bring stability to our industry. There will be more to disucss at CAC amongst all the programmes. This should be great news for the affiliates.

I've been hearing about something like this since folks got back from london, but nobody was willing to share details, except some other brands involved.

it's still unclear what this will entail, but it seems to be clearly in response to the recent tumult

This is great news for affiliates. So glad to see some control taken by the affiliate programs! It's so refreshing to see you all come together for our mutual interest.

I look forward to seeing this develop.

A lot more information will be out once CAC has happened but the plan is for operators to stand together, this will be of huge benefit to all affiliates.

    Very much so.

I think it would be very unfair of me to go into any deatils prior to CAC and I think i would have 64 operators wanting my blood....

It's going to be interesting to see how it plays out and I'd always welcome more ways for affiliates, programs and casinos to communicate but....

Does anyone else think that - right now - that post on G911 sounds like self-serving crap.

I assume this is just the first of many press releases on this collaboration.

I see this concept working in everyone's favor (operators, AM's and webmasters) as long as we all have a voice in the community. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it in the coming weeks.

There's absolutely no doubt that what happened with CAP has instigated this new approach. The programs are sick of the high fees and less than ethical practices going on over there.

Say what ever you like about G911, but i feel that one thing they are very good at doing is getting the word out to the industry, if it had not been reported on G911 it would have taken longer for the community to find out about it.

    Hi Shaun,

I know you can't say tooo much (I don't want to see you swimming with the fishes) but I have a kind of dumb question here. The quote below doesn't say specifically.. is this going to be a collaboration in a FORUM setting?

    Mojo

It is my understanding that a fourm will form part of it, a lot will be disscussed at CAC and then i am sure a PR will be issued detailing what the plan is moving forward.

But rest assured this all about affiliates and operators best interests not anybody else.
