I believe United have been carried by the referees this year with hell lot of penalties and this game I feel wont be exception :). Whoever win I expect it to be with 1:0 or 0:1 not more. Let's see what happens.
Tie... 1:1
Its 1 - 0 at Halftime with City taking the lead!
I have a question, in the Premier League what happens when two teams tie in points?? Do they go for the overall goal difference or do they go to the head to head match up between the teams that are tied??
Whoever has a better difference is first, therefore City. City has also conceded less, so if they win they get the top spot. Here's the official rule:
ATM, not counting this game and goal, United 86-32, City 87-27.Quote:
In the event that two (or more) teams have an equal number of points, the following rules break the tie:
1. Goal difference
2. Goals scored
Thanks for the info! City seems to have had a better season, scoring more goals and receiving less! Plus they thrashed United at the beginning of the season... Even though I don't like neither of those two teams, I have to admit Man City sort of deserve it a bit more...
I have never had a favorite team :) I don't know what's wrong with me. Anyways as I said, United get way too many penalties. In the two games with Stoke City and Chelsea = 4 penalties... that's about right, 1 more against QPR and 1 more against hmm I can't recall but just way too many. I don't wanna bash them, but hate when this happens especially in the fist 15 mins.
Like 2 season ago, it was a game between Blackpool and West Bromwich, some very young referee was the main ref, 24 years old I think it was, a red card and 2 penalties in 12 minutes and W.B.A were a bit screwed. Never saw that guy whistle after that :)
haha wow thats pretty young for a main referee, he is probably hated by West Bromwich fans. But if they deserved it then there isn't much you can do about it... plus you have to have a lot of courage to give 2 penalties and a red card in 12 mins...
I think the same think happens for Barcelona, they get too much penalties called their way. Im a Real Madrid fan in the Spanish league so many that why I'm a hater of Barca
I dont know about anyone else, but I'm pretty happy that Man U lost this morning...
My other half loves them. I'm a gunner. Hate hate HATE Man U.
Gabriel - something you may be interested to know (yes I know I punch this one wherever I can) but my great uncle used to coach Real Madrid back in the day (Ferenc Puskas) and for all those interested in the new games coming out at MGS this month, he is used in the new game Shoot!
:D :D
Coach Real Madrid?! Puskas is a living legend! He was a world class player
Man U will win..... **** i can't even get it right after the event :p
Good call executable!
Ha ha indeed :), United went out for a draw, and was punished for that, much like the game against Liverpool, in the first half of the season when they did the same.
That's pretty awesome :)
I went to see the stadium in Budapest a few years back and I took a photo of me standing next to one of his photos in the train station next door. It's funny how many facial features I have that are just like his. Especially the forehead :p
It's such a shame that I never got to meet him. I had planned a trip to europe to see my family in Hungary for the July/August after he passed away (from memory it was nov 2006 that he passed). I actually found out that he passed because I came home from a night out and was watching SBS (which is the channel that all the sports are on here) and they had something on there about him passing. It was devistating to hear it that way especially since I had planned to go see them. Not that he would have known who I was because he had alzeimers and my grandmother (his sister) had passed away when I was 12 so I'm not sure how much of us he knew. Still would have been great to meet him and see the rest of my family who I havent seen since I was 12.
It was funny.. on the trip to europe my boyfriend at the time was telling all the cab drivers that he was my uncle and we didnt pay for a single cab ride in Greece... of course the Greeks claim him as their own...
Anyway so there you go :)
If you're talking about the league.....Then I would say City now.....
