He won the money just four days before his birthday. What an awesome birthday present!!
Its definitely a paid article. Good work from their PR people. Its a stereotypical misleading headline though. If you read it and thought he's donating the lot, don't get sucked in to reading the article (like me!).
Definitely stinks of 'paid editorial'. I didn't think Daily Mirror would be that desperate to do things like this really, surely breaking a few Google guidelines there if they care for such things.
The fact that there are affiliate links in the post should be enough to tell you what it is!
I emailed The Mirror asking for a rate card, they seem very clued up on Affiliate marketing and it seems they prefer to do editorials where they get a cut of commission too.
Bad form. At this point why doesn't the mirror just go ahead and put a nice big menu heading "Online Casinos" and take it from there.
Good call.. Didn't even noticed that until you guys pointed it out.
The exact sum he won is £570,407, and a player from Sweden more likely will play with Euro instead of Swedish Kronor.
As is so often the case in life, chance plays a crucial role.
£570,407 are nearly exact 800.000 Euro.
A nice round sum for the right moment to hit the jackpot.
Isn't it?
What a pity, that the player remain anonymous, and that I am too stupid to find the £570,407 "Siberian Storm" jackpot on JackpotGraphs (http://www.jackpotgraphs.com).

Its the shared IGT Megajackpots one. It can be won on a few different games including Siberian Storm, Cluedo and Cleopatra.

If this is true, why the "Lucky Sweden hit" is not listed, and why the jackpot sum raised in the meantime up to £925,819?

Someone is sleeping with updates or something is weird.
No other possibilities.
I have seen so many fake stuff the last decade in this industry, that I learned to ask as long as there is an answer to open questions.

I double checked against the live value in Cleopatra at Mr Green 5 minutes ago and the current value on Casino Listings matches, so we have the right info and the one you have there is wrong. I know we had to update our IGT feed reader in the middle of March as the old URL we had stopped working. I guess that the owner of the Jackpot Graphs site has not updated their feed and so has stale data.
The title of this thread is deceptive and misleading...

It's clearly labelled "Advertorial" so I don't see a problem. Probably cost them a fortune but they'll probably get a good return ;)
