May I be so bold

Newby here ( Im going for the sympathy vote)

Can I ask you for some severe comments on my website...
I have had my web site for eight months and I have not earned a sausage,apart from once but I am pretty sure it was a mistake.
I still have a lot to do and I am working on it a little bit everyday.

When I saw the kind of rewards referback were giving there best affiliates and the kind of commissions they were achieving,I got a little depressed but I figure that a) I must be doing some thing wrong
b) it is because of the lack of visitors or C) it is too much of a banner farm?

I visited your site. You've got a good basic plan there,but it's needs work. Your layouts need tightening up,and you need your site to GRAB your viewer the instant he/she lays their eyes on it. I would suggest a very different look for your index page.

You've been online 8 months? No casino connections,other than as an affiliate? Why don't you apply for membership to the private forums?

You need to redesign your site. I suggest that before you start working on your new design,you should surf the web for other gambling portals and find things you like and dislike about them. Try to implement the good points of other sites into your new design.

The main problem with your current layout is that nothing attractive is displayed without having to scroll (a lot) or click on a link. If you notice from other sites,the most important stuff is at or near the top of the website and the less important is near the bottom. Different topics are layed out in a "easy to navigate" menu,and are linked to different pages so that the visitor doesn't have to scroll a mile or two down your page. :LOL:

Once you've made your site more attractive,then the next step is trying to get a lot of people to come and see your site. If I were you,I would try to redesign the site first,before spending money on advertising etc. as I think it would be a waste of money right now. Also I wouldn't spend money on trying to get listed in search engines,such as Yahoo yet,because the odds are your site will get rejected.

When designing your site,you want to think in terms of converting visitors into money making customers. If you were surfing the web to find someplace to gamble,would you click on a banner or link on your site? Would you go back to get more information?

Thanks for the very quick feed back. It is interesting that you are both saying redesign... And yes I completely agree with the comments. Its the attract factor that I am missing. Let me go off now and do some more home work...
