Merge Poker Crashes During 250k Guaranteed Main Event Tournaments

An unfortunate turn of events for Merge Gaming Network. The servers crashed in the midst of $75,000 and $250,000 guaranteed main event tournaments that were taking place as a part of their Online Poker Series.

The players are a bit upset. I hope they do the right thing and compensate those that were at the final tables accordingly! Otherwise it could end up being some really bad press for the poker company. And no one in our industry wants bad press ;(

UPDATE: Carbon Poker has begun compensating its players who were affected. Players are reporting getting thousands of dollars in compensation for lost EV and free tournament tickets. I'm glad to see them taking the high road here and doing what is right for the poker players involved.

Cliffs: They are paying out thousands of dollars in cash and tournament tickets to affected players.
The number of affected players was small.
The servers and or coding issues that lead to said problem were purportedly fixed.
