    Default Messed up News Feed

So I just realized that on my one site I set up the news feed wrong. I have a "news" section on my website that I try to post to at least once a week. On all my other websites I have it set up just like a blog. When you publish the page it would be xxwww.mydomain.com/date/nameofthepost/xx This way there a set of categories, tags, archives etc etc.

Well I just noticed on this one website I do not have it set up that way and it is publishing every post like a new page. So instead of all the posts staying under the "news" page as sub pages each is its own new page.

Does this have any SEO ramifications? I am afraid it is devaluing my other pages that I worked on to optimize and draw traffic to. I would change it now but I already have 49 posts that would have to be changed. I guess I could do it and redirect those pages to the new ones that will be created.

Just looking for some thoughts here on what you think is the best way to handle this. If you want to look at the website it is www.playusaonlineslots.com

    Thanks for any help/thoughts!

I guess maybe it could lead to a problem with page duplication, which is not great as Google will index loads of superfluous content. The more pages you have the longer it can take for Google crawl your site, and index pages. Although at a glance having put site:www.playusaonlineslots.com into the Google search bar, Google has only indexed 228 pages; which isn't a lot so that probably isn't really an issue. You could check the Google cache of the pages on your site you consider important, and see how regularly they are being crawled and indexed.

    I hope that's helpful somehow.

I think this may be a bigger problem than I orginally thought. Normally to get around google showing a 404 error for my news feed (since I do not allow comments) I make one comment myself so that error doesnt show up. Now in the above example, every post is acting as a page with its own feed I guess because I am getting 404 errors in GWT for the individual posts.

For example: xxhttp://www.playusaonlineslots.com/slots-madness-2/feed/ is showing up as an error.

I guess I will have to fix these and use a better permalink structure or I will get a lot of errors. Just kinda sucks cause I will have to do a bunch of redirects from the "old" post to the "new" post unless anyone has a work around.
