As i read, all gaming companies in Macau use this shemes for VIP gambling (VIP Rooms), Include Las-Vegas Sands, MGM, Wynn e.t.c.
This is not the secret that all janket operators have connection to organaise crime. This is part of the buisness. Some of them is very huge and have they one shares on HK stock exchange.
Anyway i think...this is the part of industry. Gambling is very spefic buisness. Gambling is impossible without crime. The same as alchogol. Gambling is based on gambling addictions. Gambling addictions = crime and problems. Some people like tell that gambling must be only for entertainment. This is lie and hypocrisy. They would like to make money from gambling and be good people in society eyes.
I saw something about this yesterday, too. That article makes for wild reading. Remind me to stay away from the $500/hand baccarat tables!
There is more. They want to look well in the mirror... in their own eyes. The people who come with the "entertainment" lie are usually just shallow people, who do not care how things really are, but how things look like. They force themselves to believe in that lie and they force themselves to be completely insensitive. But those people are the good citizens. After all they are the best gamblers.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.

I posted this article before - very interesting. Article contain information how this system for VIP baccarat gamblers work.
* 1.1% turnover i think this is like ~ 40% Revenue Share in baccarat on are long run. VIP Gamblers play only on baccarat tables. When Adelson's Vegas rival Steve Wynn opened the $1.2 billion Wynn Macau casino, he naturally offered Paul Phua a 0.1 percent increase over his Sands commission of 1.1 percent* to also funnel gamblers to the Wynn, according to reports in the South China Morning Post. In the year that Phua signed with Wynn, Macau casino revenue grew to $6.95 billion, making it the world's largest gambling market. By 2013, Macau's annual gaming revenue had grown to more than $45 billion. This growth -- which Adelson and Wynn publicly fronted -- was propelled in part by Phua, who for the moment remained unknown to those located anywhere but at the center of the industry. (Wynn's and Adelson's companies declined comment but have denied any association with organized crime in the past; both have partnered with junkets, including those owned by Phua.)
