    Hi Guys,

Rak’s post about illusions reminded me about Julian beever’s work, if you haven’t seen it then you have to see it, it is amazing!

In this link you will see his work and how he brings it to life http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SNYt...endscreen&NR=1

    Amazing, and very creative.

Fun to see the ppl afterwards interacting with it.
Was waiting for a guy in a superman suit to stand in the middle of it

Wonder if it works from other angles too.

I love looking at this guys work and how he actually makes this amazing illutions. I think it would work from other angles as long as you get the tecnique right and have some talent you can create any illution you want.

I'm not too sure about that, as the "cast shadow" would be different from every angle you are viewing.

As the shadows will be the same in the creation, I think the effect will not be there if you would stand on the opposite side as where the camera would be.
Also the perspective would be different from each angle, which is always the same in the creation.
Lots of optical illusions only work from certain angles.

    found another one for you

I think that it only looks scary from the camera's point so it would be easy to actually go up and walk on it from a different angle without feeling like you might fall.

These people are so talented, it looks totally real. And yes, Youtube is totally addictive, I can lose myself for hours before realising it.
