I'm sure many of you get such mail has the one below:

And, i'm aware Sina is the perfect tool for spammers mail ----- My question is, how can you stop such crap ? We are getting at least ten such mails each day, and i can't get around it with spam filters.

Do these people really have success with such -- For me, they are even more silly than these African scammer mails!

I get the same crap, but to sign up for online casinos. Usually casinos like Wild Jackpots and Twenty One are mentioned in the spam mail.

Just block the sina.com domain from your emails.

Yes that would be the easy way, but they are not so easy to stop because the next two mails from the same came from:

hogoolong@yahoo.com

Ah - sorry - I assumed you were getting the Chinese spam rush (I blocked sina.com a while back too).

I agree that I cannot believe that people think that this will drive traffic and sale - but if only 1/100th of 1% of people respond and they send out 1 million emails then it means 10 new real leads.

It's the same with the Nigerian spam emails - absolutely stupid - but every month there is a news article somewhere in my country about someone who has fallen for an email scam or internet friend who needs money.

I have found that blocking the major free email sites on my busainess accounts helps a lot - sina.com, qq.com, yahoo.com, gmail.com, hotmail.com and a handful of other regional sites that hit me.

Well, one way to block the mails is the way in which the block rules are formed, and where exactly the block takes place.

If you run your own mail server it is different then blocking the mails in your domain (on the mail server) and in your email client.

As an example the syntax for a body rule might be different on iMail as it is on SmarterMail.

If you are getting an over abundance of mail containing certain words, you should write rules accordingly. If you can use the rules on the mail server at domain level, none of the mail boxes on that domain will get the mail based upon those rules. If you can write the rules at the server level, most often none of the domains on that server will get mail based upon those rules.

If neither of options exist, you can still write the rules within your email client (such as outlook).

Most options allow you to block a keyword (such as the domain name) in the subject line, header, or body of the message.

Here is the wiki on writing rules for spam assassin. https://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/WritingRules They also use a scoring method.

In Outlook, you can write rules using their rule wizard and do not have to worry about syntax, and don't forget that no matter who sends the email and what bot network is used, if a specific domain is being promoted or used, writing a rule with that domain in the body will almost always be effective until the spammer turns on another domain they bought to use for spam.

I get hundreds of rubbish emails every day. 95% go to junk mail, and I manually delete the rest of them. It is very annoying I must admit.

You might be surprised how many mailers send 28-58 spams per day from the same class c.

For the last week or so now, I have one mailer that hits me ever day now with 58 spams to 4 email accounts from a different class c every day. The spams are selling many many different products in different niches, none of it gambling, since I personally think that although there are some spamming gambling affiliates, no single niche polices their affiliates better.

Used to work for a few companies in customer support and we got a lot of these "where is my bonus" queries, to which the answer usually was "we had that offer a year ago" or "that's the welcome bonus you already used". AFAIK, we never did anything about these except tell the customer it's not our fault.

I get a ton of these types of emails every single time I register a new domain. Hello please sir I help you with lots of SEO sir, etc. I mean I can appreciate the hustle to a degree, but the emails tend to be so poorly written that I have a hard time believing they have any real level of return.

They are almost certainly getting your email from the whois database, so using privacy should stop it. On the odd time that I have forgotten to add privacy at the time of registration, I have always received offers of SEO services from India. Every time I have remembered to turn privacy on straight away, I never receive a thing.

I've been getting nuisance calls since registering some new domains. When purchasing them, I purchased privacy, however for whatever reason it's not automatically applied.

The company that is calling me is in sydney. I've asked them already to remove me from their list. I didn't hear from them for awhile then they started calling again.
It wouldn't bother me so much but they call, ask to speak to Renee and when I say sure who is this? They hang up. They ask my name, then hang up. What's the point of this call? When I called to tell them to take me off their list, they said oh the call must have dropped out. I said no, there are reports all over the internet of the same thing, so I doubt that is the case.

GRRRRRRR!!!!!!
