Hi there
I am fairly new to posting on here (I have been a member for a while but havent taken advatage of using GPWA before now.
I am promoting an online casino on facebook and have created a fan page but even offering free $20 bets and $200 slots match bonus offers I am getting very little response, in fact i have (after 2 weeks of posting on various groups) less than 100 fans and not one person has signed up with the bonus offer?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thank you in advance.

Well,
I can also give you the news that I am also active on facebook with over 1000 followers, but in the last month i have had a sum total of 59 visitors from there (out of over 100,000). I just think it is possibly a good link, but i'm not even sure of that!
So dont think you are doing anything wrong, its just facebook is full of posture but no substance.....
Just Arsenal News (2.5 million PVs per month)
I thought I was missing out.
I will still keep trying web 2.0/social networks but will not expend too much energy in those efforts!!!

I agree FMecan.
I did notice a TON of links (and I tried to be more specific as to where I added mine)
I did notice that FB groups did seem to be pretty saturated with gambling site ads, however I have to be honest and say that I at least thought a free $10 bet (no deposit necessary!) would entice at least one facebook user.
I am not new to SEO in the gaming industry, but it is only receontly I started seriously considering tyhe social side (particularly affter the London Affiliate Conference a few weeks ago)
Obviously I may have been overly optimistic!
thanks
Simon

In my eyes, all the social media stuff can only be a useful part of a puzzle, but nothing where you will make some NEW business and this is the most important point.......we also use twitter and facebook and few other things, BUT only with their usefull parts like notifications........so they are integrated in to our community and not built as a community it self.
but, this in only my opinion......

agreed. I wasnt looking for something that would repplace all my current SEO and linkbuilding methods, more (as you say) to add more pieces and variety to the SEO puzzle![]()
