My first gambling website - Please review

So I'm pretty new to this, I made this site about downloading betting apps for different mobile devices about 3/4 months ago so I thought it'd be a good idea to sign up here!

It doesnt look too bad and i think you are in a tough market. Looking at your competition, your site looks far too familiar, like a copy of several other websites? Layout, menu, pictures, heading, buttons and even very very similar wording? Did you just copy and paste text from other sites?

Layouts are pretty similar to other sites because that kind of layout seems to convert quite well while still providing the user with what they're looking for. All the call to action images I had created just for this site. As for content, it's all unique and been created by my content writer. Quality of content seems to be a pretty big deal at the moment so I wanted it to be good while not having to pay huge amounts for it.

I find that your tables are too big, too much empty space that you could be using in a better way. Perhaps if you decrease the high of each row it may look better.

Congratulations on your first site. Great job! I personally would prefer a different color combination but that goes to preference. I would move the iphone and android betting app part up to the top of the page as long as you leave a call for action. The logo is cool, easy to share socially. Overall Good Job!

Mobile & tablet betting is getting more popular as people like to bet on the go, or even just surfing the web on their devices while at home, it's more convenient.

Seemed a little slow to load to me. It looks like your Wordpress theme is loading lots of Jquery libraries and I cant see where some of them are being used. jcarousel for instance.

How longs the site been going and hows it working out for you?

I've taken a lot of time on the content and getting it looking how I wanted, hadn't thought too much about the loading time which is pretty stupid of me! I'll be taking a look into it and try to remove anything that isn't needed, thanks!

It's not making much, it's not reached the front page for any of the key terms yet but it's getting there. I'm not expecting to make huge amounts in this niche but I think once the rankings have improved it will start bringing in a decent amount.

Id advise having a look through the backend of Wordpress and just trying to see which plugins are using what and try to disable any redundant ones.

Also to speed it up a little find all the css files and compress them with something like this:

Do this when you are happy with the site though as it makes editing the CSS tricky afterwards, a good idea is to backup your css files before you do it then if you need to edit it go back to the uncompressed version, edit and recompress

One other thing is have a look at validating the site as the CSS is throwing up quite a few errors and the are a couple in the HTML. I know it can be tricky tracking these down in wordpress templates and it isn't vital but it may just nudge you up a place or 2 on the SERPs

Have all your follows just come from Twitter promotion and natural ranking? Im on the verge of launching my first betting site and am really interested in site promotion at the moment. Even without finishing my site and without any kind of launch or even attempt to get indexed by Google some random customer has found it and signed up to Coral through it so Im quite hopefull of it doing well

Thanks for the advice! Most of the errors are from the theme itself as ive tried to use as little plugins as possible. Should be a fun night

All the traffic has been through social and natural rankings yes, it's not the quickest way to get things moving but its pretty safe
