Cool My first site - casinosaints.org

    Hello webmasters!

Recently launched my first site - https://casinosaints.org/
The idea is to give something back, in this case to charities in Canada. The voting page on the site is not done yet. By doing this each month I am hoping for visitors to come back and place a vote which I hope provides recurring traffic each month. If that works out well I am hoping for pushing new casinos each month.

What do you guys think so far? What is the next step? More articles to target keywords and backlinkbuilding?

Not sure what i think about this idea of gambling+charity but in any case it is outside the box which is nice.
And at this stage with 11 pages indexed - yes, more content.

It's actually not a new idea. One of my ad customers in 2004 was "BetOnCharity.com" (now defunct), which did the same thing: donate a portion of commissions to charity, letting players choose or vote on the charities, I don't remember which.

But, it's still a good idea, and there's certainly little to no competition in that area right now.

There was a couple of others too (all defunct now). Was literally years ago. Can't recall the domains.

Don't want to be a naysayer. However, with so many scams online these days, I'm not sure if your site would be seen as legit, or just another con to get players signed up at casinos.

Half of our revenue each month are donated to different charities in Canada.
So, 50% of all revenue generated by the site, is being donated to Canadian charities?

10% would be a believable donation. 50% isn't (not doubting your claim, just stating what most people would think is doubtful).

Oh... and btw might want to check your coding...
No H1 tag, lots of blank (empty) H2 tags. Version numbers on js and css files. Your coding need optimising

I am not sure how actual gamblers would look at donating money to charities . I think it could be looked at negatively, a bit misleading and trying to portray a charitable streak when ultimately u still depending on people loosing their money to keep your company going and support your charity. This said, I think this might be a great poll to run: "How do u feel about casinos donating to charities "

Another thing is the type of charity - I would probably steer clear of charities that support homeless, children etc or anything to do with people but I think green initiatives, supporting animal shelters etc could work better had a lower potential for steering negative feelings or any kind of backlash .

Interesting concept although many charities won't accept money from a gambling source, as I understand it.

    Educating the visitor
The other thing is you are tapping the glass, so to speak. Obviously a lot of gamblers are fully aware sites are earning commission but for many it is not at the front of their mind, they ignore it or they actually don't know it. By being fully transparent and in your face about it (literally first paragraph on your homepage), yet stating a lowish % to Charity, assumes you are raking it in. Will a random visitor care? I don't know but I would think so.

    Integrity
I also find it a bit hypocritical to latch on to saints, praying hands and a picture of a priest for the purpose of earning money. Whether this dissuades the typical visitor or not - I can't say. No charity with integrity would go near a site that is using this imagery so cheaply as it harms their reputation by association, something charities need to be very conscious of.

    SEO
For SEO purposes, I agree with the posts above though. Focus on unique and engaging content. Do some keyword research around terms that are easy to rank for, even if the volume is relatively low, just to get organic traffic, then start gaining back-links.

Your site looks good and is neatly organized. It loads relatively fast and it's easy on the eyes. I also like how you've included a link on how to gamble responsibly on your pages. Yours is the first site that I've come across with this gambling responsibly link. Good work so far and don’t feel hesitant to give us a shout out if you ever need anything

    Too much white space.

Needs more content and something unique.

Don't like the branding, some brands may not like it and it does not seem right. It also makes no sense, what do saints have to do with casinos?

    But the design/layout is nice.

    Hello!
Thanks for all the reply’s. Really appreciate it.

Hehe, about the branding Casino Saints. My thought is, as we donate some of our revenue each month, that is where the sainting thing comes in. More content is being added as the time goes. Right or not? Who knows, the time will tell..

Good job. I wuold recommend taking the logo off. It takes up valuable space at the top. Make it super small in the upper menu, just left of HOME menu item. Intead of an old guy, make it an angel theme (not vulgar, just sexyish). Using an older guy is like trying to gain authority by association.

Otherwise, more power to you! Keep us updated on your success.

Why you are using /list/ folder? You should get rid of it.
Also design is weak point of your site, you should work more, starting with rating table.
