Default Need advice on gambling, betting affiliate site.

I have some casino related domains but I have yet to develop them.

I am concerned about UIGEA, especially the part on Advertising, Aiding & Abetting. Maybe you have the experience or knowledge on this?

By running an online betting site, even though the webmasters/operators are not US citizens or in the US, how to make sure we do not run afoul of the US online gaming law? There's another problem, what if your server and registrar are both in US?

Because there is no border online and we definitely will get US visitors who click on our affiliate links, and go on to an online gaming site.

I have asked around but most webmasters seem unsure about it as there are many factors involved.

Any advice, or what are your thoughts on this?

You have a very good concern. I'm sure a lot of webmasters who are just starting off have the same query.

Here's my take on the matter. Don't use an affiliate program that allows US players. There's a lot of them, and finding a good one won't be hard. That's the only way to be sure you won't have any problems with the US authorities. it's true you will have some US traffic, but try to geotarget the best you can. Your US traffic will not convert and it's a shame, but it's better for your own peace of mind.

I'm sure there's still a lot of webmasters who are targetting the US, but I'd recommend you go for the UK or elsewhere.

    Good luck.

Right on with that comment, also make sure that if you will be hosting the gambling related activities yourself without an outside affiliate program, that credit cards from US banks are denied, this is easy to do, have a chat with your processing companies also for this matter

I echo what WagerX says, only promote companies that don't allow US players.
